Tonight we’ll be discussing various ways of attracting readers, highly targeted and shotgun effect, to your blog. We’ll also add the caveat “without spending any extra cash” as on buying clicks or placing ads that cost more than you want to spend.
Ken Cook will be facilitating and you will be bringing the knowledge with you. We’ll have about 6 statements/questions as topic starters and the conversation, as always, will get lively from there.
You will need a Twitter account to participate but you can watch without one at http://twitter.com/#!/search?q=%23tuethun although the best way is with a third party application like http://tweetgrid.com/grid?l=1&q1=twitter&q2=%23tuethun or by going to http://tweetchat.com/room/tuethun where you will not have to enter the hashtag (#tuethun) every time you tweet!
See you there.

On Tuesday 10/19 we will talk about what to expect from tracking, how to track, how to respond to what the community is saying about you and share some examples of how it has succeeded and failed for others.
Many thanks to Warren Whitlock and his Amplify on “Top 10 Ways to Make Twitter Your Brand’s Best Friend” which you can read at this link.
If you have never joined up in a live chat in the Twitter stream it’s really simple. There are multiple tools to help you track and join the conversation and as sure as I mention a couple there will be people who tell you why the one they use is better – and it may well be! Personally I use TweetGrid (http://TweetGrid.com) and set the panels 1 high by 3 wide … you’ll see when you get there.
I set my left panel to monitor @TheKenCook, the center panel to monitor #TueThun and the right panel to monitor whatever else I am into that night …. #Yankees for example.
Very simple to use is TweetChat.com and follow #TueThun. If you don’t know about # hashtags you’ll learn quickly! You do need a Twitter account to join. They are free from http://Twitter.com and you’ll need to be logged in. It’s really about that simple. You really can’t mess up!

On Tuesday, April 27, 2010 join us at http://tweetchat.com/room/tuethun at 9PM EDT (8 Central, 6 Pacific) for our first public Twitter stream chat session for Small Businesses. This session is for beginning users to intermediate users of Facebook for business. The chat session will last approximately 1 hour and will be lead by the Twitter Small Business community.
Joining the discussion could not be simpler but you do need a Twitter account even if you create one just for participating in the chats. Simply go to http://tweetchat.com/room/tuethun and sign in with Twitter. You can watch without being a member but you will not be able to ask or answer questions or otherwise join in the chat.

Discussion will include how to setup a Facebook business page, how to use Facebook’s pay-per-click or impression marketing system and how to profit from your presence on Facebook. We will be joined by members of the social media community at large and some will have deep experience to share while others may have service for hire availability.
If you are a restaurateur, insurance rep, small publisher, plumber, hair stylist, or pastor of a small church – or anything in between – you will benefit from the investment of these few moments to hear from seasoned pros of online community building.
If you would like more information on becoming a Lightning Rod (Ambassador) simply complete the short form online and someone will contact you as quickly as possible.
